I couldn’t look at you and say goodbye; because goodbye would mean it’s the end and that would not be true because it’s not the end. What I feel for you is the real thing and I know we will find our ways back to eachother…soon. So ..hold on to my heart and don’t drop it….because I won’t drop yours!

“Harmony……HARMONY”
“Hein?” Harmony jumped up as her thoughts were interrupted.
“It’s your turn to do your presentation” The teacher said.
“Oh” Harmony went through her bag, then went through the pile of mess on her desk.
“Err..Haha I have it somewhere” she smiled as she failed to find the papers that went along with her presentation.
“Do you have it or not?”
“Oh here it is” she got off her desk and papers fell to the floor as she went to stand in front of her class.
“Well er….to start off..er….” she looked for the peace to place on the projector but couldn’t find it. She smiled at the teacher
“Harmony, did you have anything planned at all?”
“I did...I promise! I just…can’t find it”
“Well as we’re not going to get a presentation from you today I have no choice but to give you an F”
“No no I’m sorry give me another chance. I promise I’ll be 110% prepared next time.”
“If I give you another chance I would have to do for others and I can’t. Sorry Harmony. Ok Simon you’re next”
“S*it” Harmony said as she dragged herself back to her desk.


“How did your presentation go Harmony?” Anabela asked.
“I failed”
“What?”
“I wasn’t prepared. My mind just hasn’t been on studying lately”
“What do you mean? You’re not sure this is what you want to do anymore?”
“No I mean…..” she sighed, then continued
“Ana, I miss him”
“Who?”
“Who else?! I miss his lips, his eyes, his ass and my box needs him” she smiled and Anabela giggled.
“Well you guys talk on the phone right?”
“But it’s not the same. I need to see him.”
“Aww babe” Anabela hugged her.
“There’s nothing you can do. He’s busy, you’re busy with studies you guys just have to be patient. Don’t let this affect your studies. You didn’t come all the way to France just to fail.”
“I know. I have to talk to Miss Dubois and talk her into letting me redo the presentation.”
“Yes do that. Listen I have to go. Call me tonight ok”
“Ok”
Harmony went to Miss Dubois’s office. She stood in front of the door and did what she did best…switch on the waterworks. She knocked on the door
“Come in. Oh mon dieu, what is it Harmony?”
“Miss Dubois I’m so sorry about wasting your time this morning. See, up until a week ago I was on time with all my work. But then I got news from back home..terrible…terrible..news and it prevented from paying full attention to what I love doing…my studying” She cried dramatically and placed her hands on her face.
“Oh Harmony, have a seat. Do you want to talk about it?”
“No I can’t. It’s..it’s too PAINFULLLLL”
“Oh man. You really do look upset”
“Miss Dubois you have no idea! And all my family is over there and there’s nothing I can do”
“Aw sweetie.”
“Anyway Miss Dubois, that’s why I came here just to tell you why I wasn’t prepared. I just hope that..that I will be able to get over it because I don’t know if I could go on if it doesn’t get better” she cried.
“Thankyou for listening Miss Dubois” she got up and dragged herself off her chair. She made sure she was walking at the slowest rate possible to give Miss Dubois time to rethink.
“Wait Harmony”
Harmony smiled, then put on her sad face and turned.
“Look it’s obvious that whatever is going on back home has affected you a lot. Fine, I will let you redo the presentation but let this be the last time.”
“Oh really?? Are you sure? I mean really sure?”
“Well if you don’t want the second chance..”
“No no I want, I want it!”
“Ok next Wednesday. If you’re not prepared no other chances understood??”
“Yes! Thankyou Miss Dubois.”
“Un hun. And Harmony I hope everything will be alright”
Harmony sniffed.
“Oh me too Miss Dubois..me too” she closed the door.
“Haha vamoss”

Dinner time and Aurélie was late from work again; so the 4 girls sat in front of the TV and watched a chick flick.
“Oh my god he’s so hot”
“Totally. Right Harmony? Harmony, helloooo” Aurore replied.
“Hein? Oh..oh yeah he’s cute.”
“Oh Harmony only has eyes for one guy now. You could place Chad Micheal Murray in front of her and she would say, pfftt” Sandrine replied.
“Yes I would because he’s not my type.” She smiled.
“Your type now is Spanish guys with big asses right?” Delphine laughed. Harmony’s phone rang and she leaped off the chair as soon as she saw who it was. She ran to her room.

“I missed you so much” she said
“Aww you have no idea how much I missed you. If I had a penny for the amounts of times I thought of you I’d be richer than Bill Gates. How are you baby?” he asked. She told him about her week and he told her about his week. She started crying.
“What?”
“How far is London from here?” she asked.
“Just 3 hours by train.”
“That’s it! And we’re seating here acting like we’re worlds apart?!!”
“But we are. You can’t leave there and I can’t leave here. Baby I have to go. Dios I miss you too much.”
“Me too”
“Bye” he said but she didn’t reply, she was too sad to talk. She spend all night thinking about the first time they met, their first kiss and the first time they made love.

Next day she only had classes in the afternoon so she spent the morning alone in the house watching TV. An ad about Eurostar appeared and she found herself fantasizing about taking a train to London.
“Why not?” she asked herself.
“No no noHarmony this is insane you can’t! You’re behind on work and..and you just can’t!” she got up and went to get ready for school.
On her way to school she walked past some people talking about Wimbledon and Rafael Nadal’s chances. She looked up in disbelief.
“Oh my god this is a sign isn’t it?! You WANT me to go to London. No no I can’t. I’m such an idiot” she shook her head and resumed walking to school.
She received a text from Rafa…
Haha guess what?
And that was it.
“Haha why is he teasing me like that?” she smiled. A young couple in love walked in front of her and she could feel the tears build up inside of her. She looked at her phone again. She smiled
“Guess what, hein?!! Well I’ll find out tonight!” she ran back home. She felt bad about it but, she knew where Aurélie kept her emergency money and she took some money from there. She packed some clothes in her bag. She had no idea where he was staying but that wasn’t a problem…she would find out!
“Oh my god Harmony you are crazy” she said to herself as she packed the last of her stuff.
